What is glass wool?
Glass wool board is one category of glass fiber, a kind of man-made inorganic fiber. With quartz sand, limestone and dolomite as main raw material, companying some sodium carbonate and sodium borate will melt into glass. In the state of melting, with external force, it will be spun into cotton shaped fine fiber, with fiber and fiber crossing and twisting together, showing lots of tiny gaps among them, which can be regarded a pore space. So glass wool can be treated as multi-pore material, with an excellent thermal insulation and sound absorption property. No CFC`s or HCFC`s are produced in the production process.
